How so? I've seen it several times and it's pretty good. Granted it takes a few creative liberties but all and all a pretty good adaptation.

@@timwells637 a replica that is close to perfect (just modern rules like lights engine etc are also on board)
As a tall ship sailor I never tire of seeing ships putting to sea (I notice she does not set her jibs, courses and gallants here). Instinctively I give the orders. But, Be there one error in ALL treasure Isalnd movies. Hispaniola be a schooner by the Powers, not a ship or even a barque.

The 1990 version with Bale and Heston takes that position I'm afraid.
Maybe the 1990s movie is better, but this song is the best version of Lowlands Away I have ever heard. A beautiful mix of Sea Shanty and Blues which was already developing in that era

William by the powers. Have ye nae seen a tall ship cast loose set her rig and sail. If be ye a sailor and jump at the sight how much more for a longshore man. Be there anymore stunning sights? Mayhap they one day sign aboard too. Not the easiest of berths but what is out there across the board more than makes up for the discomfit

I know I’m 6 years late to this response but sad to say, no there is no soundtrack released for this miniseries. Which is a shame, some of the best soundtracks are always on movies and shows that do not have a single merchandise.

I started watching after so long this show, indeed is a program for a public that don't like things that offend the noblest values of human being .I also discovered why the Benedict Cumberbatch says that this program ais a crap, because one of the villains of the story is GAY ,as gays and lesbians would not be able to commit crimes or mischief. I think this is so disrespectful an actor who claim to be so gentleman disrespecting the fellow colegues that they are actors too who work at rival of BBC, the ITV).
